Was a late night having to reshoot this one. All the first shots came out completely unusable. Finally crawled into bed at 4am lol.

They’re almost done. Will have video as well. It’s pretty damned rowdy.

My dream car is a blown LS (or blown 572 crate engine) ‘69 Camaro, so I am quite interested in seeing the rest.

I didn’t see it, but now I do. Holy F**K, that’s my dream car; modern engine/suspension/brakes/transmission/electronics, old school exterior. A few questions:

1. The dyno test was done with only half the supercharger’s full potential? I might have read that wrong.

1b. If so, why?

2. Did you tune the ECU yourselves, or did you farm the work out?

3. It has an AC, right? I know that many people might think that as sacrilegious, but this is Texas, after all.

4. Would you say that this engine is the PERFECT engine for this setup/vehicle? I’ve always been a big fan of big blocks in a modded F-Body Camaro, but I know that today’s engine technology can actually disprove the old “no replacement for displacement” saying.

But seriously, great work.

1. Correct

1b. The LSX 376-B15 is a “baby boost” block. B15 denotes Boost block, 15psi. We didn’t want to push the block further than the 3.5 pulley. It picked up 100whp going from the 4" to the 3.5" lol.

2. We tune everything in house. Something surprising to many outsiders considering how small a shop we are, and that we don’t have any official mechanical engineers or programmers and such here. Just a lot of experience shared between all four of us at the shop. Yes, just four guys. Something the bigger shops are having trouble swallowing that they’ve been chasing our half mile and mile record for the C7 for a year and have yet to come close even after they just went to full port injection and abandoned pushing the direct injection.

We use; HPTuners, AEM Infinity, Holley, Motec, Hondata, Link, Haltech, SCT, and FAST (last two aren’t our favorites as they’re just a pita or customer support sucks).

3. Thank goodness, yes it does. Updated LSx style AC compressor. It’s a black-ass car with black-ass interior.

4. EFI Connection has a 58x conversion so you can run newer LSx PCM’s on your BBC. This means you can even have motherfuckin’ flex fuel capability on a rowdy ass big block. We’re actually speccing out one in this fashion for a mud drag truck. Yes, mud drags. I hope the customer says yes, because it’s gonna be exciting.

Thanks as well, if you are on facebook at all, you can check out our page, I don’t spam people’s feeds like some of the big pages trying to claw away at your edgerank, but I do try to have some good quality updates.

Thanks for answering my questions. I love it when shops take a damn near hopeless old car and turn it into a showcase of possibilities. There are cherry, original paint/matching numbers cars that should remain original, and then there are rescue vehicles that should be radically enhanced to the point of orgasm. You done good.

The FB page has been liked, can’t wait to see if the truck gets a BB in it (572, please).
